  • Change water once every week. Do not go more than four weeks without changing water
  • Do not expose Marimo balls to direct sunlight
  • DO not expose Marimo balls to heat above 35 degrees
  • During weekly water changes, gently massage and squeeze out dirt from Marimo balls
  • Do not split Marimo balls to induce reproduction
  • If Marimo balls experience whitish or yellowish discolouration, add a tiny dash of salt to water
  • Place crystal stones or coral sand in water to speed growth of Marimo balls
  • If Marimo balls turn black or brown, then they have sadly passed on and are now judging you silently from the algae afterworld
